Amie Van Devender serves as the Director of the Raleigh County Healthy Families Alliance and Support Center (RCHFASC), where she brings a wealth of administrative experience from office administrative roles in the federal government and private sector. Having relocated to Raleigh County, W.VA. five years ago from Arizona with her family, Amie is committed to supporting the community by fostering a nurturing environment where families can thrive, learn, and succeed in every level of their family lives. By leveraging her skills to ensure smooth operations and impactful support services, Amie keeps the Center operating on a daily schedule and providing more and more services to the families in Raleigh County. Outside of work, she enjoys exploring West Virginia's natural beauty and participating in community events. She also enjoys having a good time and lots of laughs with her family and friends.

Having been with CCI since March 2023, Megan Dobbs recently started as the Program Assistant II at the Raleigh County Healthy Families Alliance and Support Center. Prior to her role working with Raleigh County families, Megan served as a Peer Recovery Support Specialist (PRSS) with the WV Collegiate Recovery Network at Bluefield State University and Concord University. In that role, Megan helped create a supportive network for students in recovery in the higher education setting. As a supporter and advocate for those in recovery, Megan wants people to know - "we are here for you; we support you, and we want to see you succeed in all areas of life!” Megan brings a combination of personal experience and formal education to her role new role within the Raleigh County community, which contributes greatly to her success. Academically, Megan is holds a Bachelor's of Social Work with a minor in psychology from Concord University. In addition to her role family support role, Megan also works as a mentor with Camp Mariposa and serves as a board member for the West Virginia Association for Addiction and Prevention Professionals (WVAAPP). Megan is driven and effective in her outreach efforts because she is passionate about recovery and supporting others to reach their goals.

Laurie Farro is a Program Assistant at the Raleigh County Healthy Families Alliance & Support Center, where she brings a deep passion for helping others and making a positive, lasting impact on families and the community. Her role is guided by her belief that strong, supportive connections can empower individuals and strengthen the community as a whole. Laurie’s professional experience is rooted in years of service and leadership. Before joining RCHFA&SC, she spent several years as a preschool teacher and director, nurturing young learners and supporting their families during important early development stages. Her background also includes extensive experience in local fundraising through her work as a local marketer, where she built strong community partnerships and supported numerous outreach initiatives. These roles have equipped Laurie with a unique blend of compassion, communication skills, and organizational expertise that she brings to her work every day. At the center, Laurie supports programming that promotes stability, growth, and resilience for families. Whether assisting with classes, coordinating events, or connecting clients with essential resources, she is known for her warm presence, steady reliability, and genuine dedication to those she serves. Outside of work, Laurie treasures spending time outdoors with her family and her dogs. Whether hiking, exploring, or enjoying a peaceful day in nature, these moments fill her with balance and joy—energy she brings back to her work and community.
