With a background in restaurant management, the journey of this new career has been a breath of fresh air, providing new challenges and learning opportunities. Kyla's personal goal as Director of GCFSC is to continue making positive connections and meaningful contributions within the community and supporting family's needs. Kyla is a native to Monroe County and currently resides there on a small hobby farm with her husband and two wonderful little girls. To relax after a long day, she spends her time reading or fostering her love for nature in the garden. Kyla is an extrovert and loves meeting people from all walks of life.

When I am not helping families thrive, you can find me spending quality time with my loved ones or working on my latest woodworking project, bringing my creativity to life. I’m a part time Family Support Center assistant. I was born in North Carolina and lived there for four years before coming to West Virginia with my family. I couldn’t imagine anywhere else as home, and I’m so pleased to be living here. Before joining the Greenbrier County FSC, I worked at local daycares around the area, the local greenbrier humane society and a restaurant in Fairlea, West Virginia. I used to live in the Frankford area before I moved to downtown Lewisburg a couple of years ago. The city life is different from living in a rural area, but the people are friendly and welcoming. After work, I like to wind down by watching a movie or two and spending time with family-- especially my nephew. With this job, I hope to accomplish new skills and overcome new challenges and discover new opportunities for myself. Being able to meet people within the community and learn about their stories has been an eye-opening privilege and amazing experience. I’m naturally soft spoken, but friendly and opening to people I communicate with. I look forward to furthering my career, meeting new people, and making new connections and contributions.

Crystal was born and raised in West Virginia and has a deep love for the beauty and spirit of the Mountain State. When she’s not working, she enjoys hiking, baking, and going on new adventures. She brings valuable experience in the field and is truly passionate about helping individuals and families meet their needs while building strong, supportive relationships.
